We have conceived, designed, and manufactured the Modular 976™, a flexo printer from our “Flexo stack” family, developed as a dedicated in-line solution specifically for the feminine hygiene and personal care sectors. We have structured this flexographic printing machine to work continuously on unwinding flexible materials such as plastic, bioplastic, and non-woven substrates.

To ensure accurate graphic results, we have equipped the system with two electronically synchronized printing units, which allow for two-color designs. From a production specifications standpoint, our flexographic printer handles a fixed print width of 100 mm and provides a variable print repeat, ranging from a minimum of 260 mm up to a maximum of 520 mm. To keep the production process efficient and convenient, we have adopted a closed-chamber inking system based on a ceramic anilox roller Ultralox™, optimized for the primary use of water-based inks and compatible with solvent-based and UV inks. In order to guarantee constant and accurate fluid control, we have integrated our automatic Work & Wash™ feeding and cleaning system paired with a precise electronic viscometer. Thanks to this solid structural configuration, our printer reaches an operating speed of 300 meters per minute.

The precision control of the entire system is entrusted to a gearless motorization setup featuring synchronized brushless motors. We have studied this solution so that the operator can manage axis advancement and adjustments electronically, while also relying on a linear camera for print phase inspection. To make operations increasingly fast, we have integrated the possibility of performing a quick sleeve change assisted by an advanced RFID technology recognition system, facilitating the automatic procedures to change the print repeat. Furthermore, we have equipped the system with our own patent-pending invention: the innovative NIC™ printing plate cleaning system, which removes dirt while the machine is in operation. This system consists of three synergistic groups: a cleaning head on each printing unit that injects and aspirates water on the cliché, a pump management box, and a dedicated water aspirator. To support the process, we have included a hot air drying system, specifically designed to speed up the ink drying on the substrate. With the Modular 976™, we deliver a solid and one-sided technology to ease maintenance, designed to respond reliably to industrial needs.
