“Thermoprint” is a thermal transfer electronic printer suitable to write texts, bar codes, dates, logos etc. directly and automatically on plastic films, paper films and flexible polycoupled.
It is electronic because it prints variable data from a keyboard in real time and by a digital technology.
It is a thermal transfer device because it utilizes for printing a dry ink ribbon. This ribbon, heated by the print head, transfers ink directly to the film with texts and pre-set graphics.
It is particularly recommended for horizontal or vertical packaging machines and particularly for thermoforming machines with intermittent moving films, for large printing areas. Film, during printing operations, must be still.“Thermoprint“ 359 can work only in the intermittent mode. In this model a sliding device translates on film under printing.
This sliding device includes the printing little head and the ribbon container group. When printing starts the little head drops, the sliding device moves in parallel or orthogonal or differently angulated to the film direction, according to the preset run.
The printing head, once print has been done, gets up and the slide comes to the start previous position.
The “Thermoprint” allows obviously a quick print-change from keyboard with a considerable use flexibility and time saving. It gives and maintains a high printing quality and eliminates problems concerning liquid ink drying.
You can print texts, bar codes, dates, logos, etc. with any angulations (0÷ 360). Short and simple writings can be set-up from the keyboard lodged on the electronic panel of printer.For sophisticated graphic and writings it is necessary to use the software “Labelstar PLUS” (optional) to be installed on outer PC where it is possible visualizing the whole print.This software allows set-up, memorization and modification of the print itself.Writings and graphics can be recalled by the keyboard from internal memory, by outer PC connected, or from PCMCIA -Card (Optional) with outer PC disconnected.
The thermal transfer ribbon for the Thermoprint 359 is available in different colour rolls and different kinds suitable to films with various composition, with following sizes:max. length 600 m. about – internal-external diameter 25,4 – 90 mm – min. – max. width : 35 –55 , 60-110 , 115-130 mm. according to model.
“Thermoprint” has got an automatic device to utilize in the best way the thermal ribbon during printing operations. This printer is supplied complete with CD with driver for the “Thermoprint” for all operational systems Windows in most important languages with driver for PCMCIA-Card with two slots with connection for keyboard PC with PS-2 and with clock and calendar. Upon request, it can supplied also with the following optional accessories: configuration Software “Labelstar PLUS” supporting frame PCMCIA-Cards 512 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB interface Ethernet-LAN, RS-422, RS-485 electric supply 115 V-60Hz and outer driver foe PCMCIA Card.
