We have conceived, designed, and manufactured the Modular™ 994, a flexo printer belonging to our “Flexo stack” family, developed as a dedicated in-line solution for industrial production. With this specific model, we provide a specialized flexographic printing machine engineered for one-color front-and-back printing directly in-line with the welding process, a configuration that is utilized for manufacturing seat covers in the automotive sector. We have developed this system to operate reliably on continuous plastic and bioplastic substrates.
To ensure the consistent operation of this flexographic printer, we have integrated printing units based on the Miniflex® 546 technology, configuring the system to manage a printing width ranging from a minimum of 250 mm to a maximum of 500 mm, with a versatile print repeat between 410 mm and 1000 mm. Fluid management has been addressed with care: we have designed a ceramic anilox inking system equipped with a closed-chamber doctor blade, which works primarily with water-based inks to lower emissions and support a safe working environment, while remaining compatible with other ink types if required. This setup allows our printing press to achieve an operating speed of 150 meters per minute.
In terms of movement control, we have equipped the Modular™ 994 with a motorization system utilizing synchronized brushless motors, which guide the substrate smoothly through the printing phase. To make daily operations straightforward and convenient for operators, we have integrated a quick sleeve-change system that allows for easy adjustments to the print repeat. Additionally, to support production efficiency, we have installed a hot-air drying system with electrical heating elements, specifically engineered to accelerate ink drying on the material before subsequent processes. With the Modular™ 994, we deliver a solid and practical technology designed to meet specific industrial printing demands.
