We conceived, designed, and built the Modular™ 991, a central impression flexo printer developed as an in-line solution specifically dedicated to the packaging industrial sector. We structured this flexographic printing machine to work continuously with the web movement, offering a targeted application for printing on flexible materials such as plastic and bioplastic, with a specific focus on customizing plastic strapping.

To ensure accurate printing results, we equipped the system to operate with a two-color configuration. In terms of production specifications, our flexographic printer handles a fixed printing width of 300 mm and guarantees a variable print repeat, from a minimum of 400 mm up to a maximum of 700 mm. To keep the production process efficient and cost-effective, we adopted an enclosed chamber inking system based on an Ultralox™ ceramic anilox roller, specifically optimized for the use of UV inks. Thanks to this robust structural design, our printer reaches an operating speed of 120 meters per minute.

Precision control of the entire system is entrusted to a drive system managed by synchronized brushless motors. To guarantee proper ink adhesion to the material, we equipped the system with a Corona treatment station that acts directly on the strapping prior to the printing phase. Furthermore, to make operations faster and easier, we integrated sleeve-change capability, supported by a recognition device using RFID technology that enables automatic unit calibration based on the installed sleeve, thus conveniently varying the print repeat. To support the UV ink curing process, we incorporated a UV-LED lamp system, specifically designed to speed up ink drying on the passing material. With the Modular™ 991, we deliver a rational technology, engineered to reliably meet industrial needs.
