We manufactured the Modular™ 949 flexographic printing press to elevate the aesthetic quality of feminine hygiene products. This unit, part of our Flexo stack family, operates in-line and is integrated directly into the customer’s production system. We designed the system to print continuously on plastic substrates and non-woven materials, enhancing the final product’s branding through precise designs.

The structure utilizes synchronized brushless motors that allow the flexo printer to reach 270 m/min with extreme stability. We defined a print width of 100 mm, while production flexibility is guaranteed by a variable repeat length between 230 mm and 475 mm. Thanks to the integration of sleeve technology, changing the print repeat is quick and easy, reducing machine downtime.

Inking is handled by a ceramic anilox roller paired with a enclosed doctor blade chamber—a technical combination we chose to ensure a consistently uniform and sharp color distribution. The flexographic printer exclusively uses water-based inks, fully complying with the strict safety requirements necessary for materials in contact with the skin. Drying is accelerated by a hot air module with heating elements, integrated to instantly cure the pigment.
