We conceived, designed, and built the Modular™ 1006, a flexo printer from the ‘Flexo stack’ family, as a complete in-line solution for the packaging sector. We produced this four-color flexographic printing machine for in-line printing on blown film extrusion lines. This machine was built to guarantee various printing configurations on both sides of the substrate—such as 4+0, 3+1, 1+3, 2+2, or 0+4—seamlessly integrating into production lines.
From a technical standpoint, we assembled this flexographic printer to handle a print width up to 780 mm, combined with a variable print repeat ranging from 400 mm to 1000 mm. To keep the production process smooth and convenient, we developed an inking system based on a closed chamber with a doctor blade and a ceramic anilox roll Ultralox™. This configuration allows our flexo press to reach an operating speed of 100 meters per minute. We designed the printing equipment to work optimally with solvent-based inks, ensuring crisp rendering and practical fluid management during the work cycles.
To assure structural stability and accuracy during every print run, we produced this printer with a motorization system driven by synchronized brushless motors. Additionally, to facilitate the operators’ work and make format changes faster and more convenient, we integrated the capability to perform sleeve changes to easily vary the print repeat. To further support the process, we installed a hot air drying system with resistors, specifically designed to speed up ink curing on the material. With the Modular™ 1006, we deliver a solid flexographic printing press, made and tuned to precisely meet industrial needs.
