Miniflex 514 is an in-line flexo printing machine suitable for UV inks printing. It is a gearless printing unit (without gear transmission: two Brushless electric motors installed, one for the printing roller and one for the anilox roller) and it is equipped with electro-pneumatic control logic with axis control; it is possible to print in “continuous” mode and also in “continuous + mark” mode. Using the “continuous + mark” mode, the Miniflex prints in register, that means in a pre-set position controlled by the axis control system of the control panel. The printing unit receives a reference signal from the web line and by means of the axis control system carries out some small corrections to the position of the printing roller so that it can always print in register.    

The printing roller is made up of an air spindle on which the operator can fit laser engraved rubber sleeves. In this way, it is possible to print endlessly without any printing interruption. Moreover, the in-line sleeve change system makes the cliché change very quick and extremely easy to carry out. Indeed, the operator must just pull out a sleeve and insert another with a different printing logo.

The inking system consists on doctor blade closed chamber and laser engraved ceramic anilox roller. This inking system allows to reach high working speeds up to 300 metres per minute and to carry out the cleaning and colour changing jobs very quickly.

The machine is complete with electro-pneumatic control and with ink recirculation system with peristaltic pump suitable for UV inks. The recirculation pump can work in two different directions: one to supply the ink to the closed chamber while printing or solvent while washing, the other to drain the ink from the closed chamber before cleaning or the solvent after cleaning the unit
