We have conceived, designed, and manufactured the Miniflex® 383 Bicolor, a flexo printer from our Miniflex® family, developed as an in-line solution dedicated to the paper, non-woven, textile, and packaging industrial sectors. We structured this flexographic printing machine to work continuously and in-line with the moving substrate, offering a suitable application for two-color printing on unwinding flexible materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic films, flexible laminates, polyethylene, and polypropylene.
To ensure accurate print results, we equipped the system with two distinct and independent printing units, a configuration that allows for two-color designs or, optionally, the use of a single color. From a production specification standpoint, our flexographic printer handles a fixed print width of 250 mm and a fixed print repeat of 600 mm. To keep the production process efficient and cost-effective, we adopted a closed-chamber inking system based on an Ultralox™ ceramic anilox roller, primarily optimized for the use of water-based inks and compatible with solvent-based inks. We paired this system with an ink supply and recirculation circuit featuring a 25-liter container, managed by a pneumatic pump. Thanks to this configuration, our printer reaches an operating speed of 90 meters per minute.
Precision control of the entire system is entrusted to an independent electronic motorization, where the printing speed is accurately synchronized with the unwinder via a dedicated encoder. We developed an electro-pneumatic control logic, managed through a practical console-style electrical panel, which governs the entire process. The longitudinal register is adjusted electronically, while the transversal register is mechanical. To make operations increasingly easy, we designed the structure so that the machine can slide manually along two guides, facilitating the removal of the print rollers, which are easily dismantled. Furthermore, we provided this model with a versatile fastening system, allowing the attachment of characters via double-sided tape for photopolymer clichés.
