We have conceived, designed, and manufactured the Modular™ 900, a flexo printer from our “Flexo stack” family, developed as an in-line solution specifically dedicated to the extrusion, converting, paper, non-woven, textile, and packaging industrial sectors. We structured this flexographic printing machine to work continuously and in-line with the moving substrate, offering a practical and flexible application for front and back printing on a wide range of unwinding materials, such as plastic, bioplastic, paper, cardboard, textiles, and nets.

To ensure accurate print results in a 3+3 color configuration, we equipped the system with six printing units, positioned on a solid main structure that allows for their transversal adjustment across the entire width of the film. From a production specification standpoint, our flexographic printer handles a fixed print width of 800 mm and guarantees a variable print repeat, from a minimum of 700 mm up to a maximum of 1000 mm. To keep the production process efficient and cost-effective, we adopted a closed-chamber inking system based on an Ultralox™ ceramic anilox roller, primarily optimized for the use of water-based inks and, concurrently, for solvent-based inks. To support each unit, we integrated a recirculation system consisting of a pneumatic pump, and hoses with quick connectors, making cleaning and color changeover operations fast and simple. Thanks to this configuration, our printer reaches an operating speed of 30 meters per minute.

Precision control of the entire system is entrusted to a motorization system managed by synchronized brushless motors. We developed the electro-pneumatic control logic so that the operator can manage the advancement and registration of the various groups directly from an electrical panel equipped with a touch-screen featuring intuitive graphic icons, supported by two practical operator panels on the machine. This architecture allows choosing the working mode between “Tracking” (Inseguimento), with a fixed print repeat determined by the print drum, and “Variant”, to vary the repeat from the keyboard without replacing the print drum. To make operations increasingly easy, we integrated the capability to perform sleeve changeovers. To complete the process, we included a hot air drying system equipped with electrical resistors, featuring dedicated boxes positioned after each color across the entire film width, specifically designed to speed up the drying of the ink. With the Modular™ 900, we deliver a rational technology, designed to reliably respond to industrial needs.
